Hi Ryan

I saw your blof about tick nite fever. I am a 59 yr old male working in Gaborone. About 3 weeks ago I got this after a cross country run through long grass near Mokolodi. The doctor in Ribverwalk gave me 100mg doxycycline for 7 days and and the acute symptoms went away. But now a week later I still feel quite lethargic especailly in the evening and wonder if I need to go back to the doctor again. I am leaving today for Luanda for a week and am a bit worried it might get worse while I am travelling. Do you have any advice?

Hi Ryan,

Nice pic! Very moving! And you're in Botswana with a cause. Very noble!

Hi Ryan:
I too saw your blog about tick bite fever. That is what I think I contracted in Malawi some years back, from a Rottweiler puppy I was taking home. Have never felt so awful in my life.
I briefly lived in Gaborone several years ago, working for the Univ. of Botswana. My younger daughter wishes we were still there (the "normalcy" of up-state NY bothers her).
